From Barrel to Bottle: Winter News from Bec Hardy Wines

Winter is never a quiet time in a wine business. All the hard work of spring and summer transfers to the winery and bottling line as whites are bottled and new vintage reds set to barrel. The 2025 new vintage of our most popular white wine, Pertaringa ‘Scarecrow’ Sauvignon Blanc – now 20+ vintages in – has just been released and we’ve written more on how drinking SA Sauvignon Blanc (and not NZ!) supports our local communities! Winter is also when the wine writers get scribbling their reviews of our latest releases – we’ve got some great 94+ scores on some of the premium wines and there’s a special collection here with a little extra incentive to indulge in an Award Winners 6-Pack.

As you might know our wonderful Chef Connor has decided to move on to pastures new and with it comes an opportunity for us to revisit the offering at The Kitchen. We are currently recruiting for a new lead for The Kitchen to take us into spring and beyond and some great quality candidates have presented themselves. Going forward, we’ll be entering an exciting new chapter - with a more relaxed, wine-led experience focused on grazing plates and seasonal dishes designed for sharing – a vibe that better suits the more relaxed and rustic nature of the venue. We’ve wrapped up the first three Good Food & Wine Shows (GFWS) of the year – Perth, Sydney & Melbourne. We’ll be on the Naked Wines Tour in September and back up to Brisbane GFWS in October and Sydney in November where we’ll be back at Boronia Kitchen for dinner on 21st November.
