The Tipsy Hill garden is one of the most well-known private gardens in South Australia and can accommodate exclusive, small weddings for up to 30 people.
Planted 20 years ago by the original owner, Margaret Burrell, and designed by the renowned landscape gardener, Pam Hailstone, the 2.5 acre (1 hectare) garden is set on a sandhill with sweeping 360 degree views across McLaren Vale and the Mount Lofty Ranges.
The garden, surrounded by vineyards on all sides, is beautifully terraced with a real sense of the Mediterranean. Imaginative plantings and the bold use of colour, set against the cobalt blue skies of McLaren Vale, means the garden looks beautiful all year around, perfectly framing those 360 degree views.
The garden is a perfect backdrop for intimate weddings, other small events and more. It’s a maze of exciting smaller, almost secret, gardens all linked by paths and offering a variety of seats, arches, pillars, walls, a wisteria arbor and hedges, providing a choice of spaces for your ceremony.
