Pertaringa 'Belonging to the Hills' Shiraz 2024
Region: McLaren Vale
Story: The word Pertaringa means ‘belonging to the hills’ in the local Kaurna language. Bec’s father Geoff Hardy chose this name because the cellar door is located in the foothills of McLaren Vale.
Vintage: Vintage 2024 in McLaren Vale delivered a dynamic season that ultimately produced excellent fruit quality with strong varietal expression and impressive concentration. While yields were generally lower a warm, dry finish allowed for clean, balanced wines with depth and vibrancy, making it a standout vintage—widely regarded as stronger than 2023.
Winemaking: Small batch open fermenters, 15 months in new and aged French oak.
Nose: The nose offers complex aromas of plums, dark fruits, dried herbs and hints of mint.
Palate: The palate is bright and textural with dark berries, plums and subtle spices, complemented by an elegant and lengthy finish.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2032
