Museum | Pertaringa Tipsy Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Vintage: Spring and summer were cooler than normal with above average rainfall and the 2017 vintage happened much later than usual. The combination of those factors and dry weather for most of the harvest resulted in higher yields and excellent quality across regions.
Story: The Tipsy Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is from Bec Hardy’s vineyard in the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. The ancient soils and elevation of the Tipsy Hill vineyard offer the perfect conditions for growing high quality Cabernet Sauvignon. The property also includes a stunning garden, featuring the rare Tipsy Hill Imperial Concubine rose, from which the name originates.
Nose: The nose is sophisticated with complex and elegant notes of blackberries, cassis, violets, tobacco, dried herbs and a trace of mint.
Palate: The palate is beautifully balanced with black fruits, herbs and mocha, followed by powdery tannins and a long finish.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2032
