Region: Blewitt Springs

Story: The Lakeside range is all about fun and freshness, Lighter, fresher styles for summer drinking by the lake side with your family and friends. This wine is currently being served onboard Cathay Pacific Business Class.

Vineyard: This wine is sourced from the Lot94 BSR vineyard owned by Bec Hardy in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale. The dry grown vineyard was planted in 1993.

Soils: Deep sandy soils from the Holocene era (11,600yrs old).

Winemaking: Night harvest to retain fruit freshness. Grapes were destemmed and pressed immediately. Juice was then transferred directly to barrels for fermentation followed by partial malolactic fermentation for added complexity. The wine was bottled after 5 months maturation in seasoned French oak hogsheads.

Nose: The nose has a hint lifted stonefruit and melon.

Palate: The palate is a lovely balance of rich, creamy white peach fruit and fresh citrus acid. Subtle brioche notes from the oak influence complement the mid palate with a crisp, dry finish.
