Bec Hardy Rosé 2025 | 6 Pack
Region: McLaren Vale
Vineyard: The Grenache for this Rosé was grown at the Lower Tintara vineyard on Kays Road, McLaren Vale. This vineyard was originally planted by my great-great-great-grandfather Thomas Hardy in the 1880’s and is now owned by 5th Generation Hardy, John, and his wife Helen.
Soils: The Lower Tintara vineyard is on sandy loam soils called Maslin Sands, deposited here during the Eocene epoch between 34 and 56 million years ago, they are some of the oldest soils in McLaren Vale.
Harvest date: 25 February 2025
Winemaking: Cool night harvest of the grapes and immediate crushing and pressing of fruit at the winery resulted in a pale pink colour. This is followed by 100% stainless steel fermentation at cool temperature to retain aromatics then clarification, stabilisation and bottling in late May to capture freshness.
Nose: The nose offers lifted aromas of red fruits including strawberry, raspberry, and cherry.
Palate: The palate is a delightful balance of juicy strawberries and cherry fruit with citrus complexity. A dry style that has a delicate savoury finish and great length.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2028

'this Mclaren Vale Rosé is all about its regional hero Grenache variety, sourced from a heritage Hardy family vineyard in the Lower Tintara district. It has all the desired Rosé red-fruit attractions both in nose and palate, yet it is no simple fruit bomb. There’s backbone and mid-palate weight, texture and spice, which puts this right on the mark as a meal-time Rosé'
