Bec Hardy
Director - Viticulture & WinemakingBec Hardy is a 6th generation member of the Hardy family with a degree in Viticultural Science. After working in the UK and Australian wine markets, she has gained extensive national and international experience in wine production, marketing and exporting. In 2010, Bec returned to the family business from Sydney to manage Wines by Geoff Hardy’s portfolio of wine brands across the company’s domestic and international markets.
After establishing Bec Hardy Wines in 2015 and acquiring the Pertaringa wine brand from her father’s business in 2020, she is now making her own way in the Australian wine world as the Hardy family’s first female vineyard owner and producer. In June 2021, she was recognised as one of South Australia’s finest young business people at the annual ‘40 under 40’ Business Awards and in the same year was awarded the 'Rise Up Award' at the SA Woman Awards 2021.
As the first female vigneron from one of Australia's oldest wine families, Bec continues to build on the experience and reputation of her predecessors with a modern twist on 170 years of winemaking heritage. Her company produces wines that over-deliver on a quality-price ratio with a unique and genuine story told in a compelling way, all backed up by third-party endorsement.

stories.Like her mum and dad, she loves being out in nature, be it playing in the gardens at Tipsy Hill or chasing after Churchill in the vineyard. Her favourite things include dancing, cooking and gardening.
Churchill
Wine dog and scourge of rabbits everywhereYou’ll meet our beloved Churchill hanging around the Bec Hardy cellar door, chasing rabbits, opening doors and saying hello to customers. The door-opening
trick is very popular, but the rest of the team can get a bit annoyed when he leaves them open in the middle of winter. Several. Times. Every. Hour. He has also been known to steal lunches off desks, apparently leaving your lunch unattended on your desk means it’s fair game!
