Bec Hardy Rosé 2024
Region: Adelaide
Story: The Bec Hardy Rose is a real crowd favourite with it’s fresh berry notes and crisp palate. It strikes the perfect balance of a serious wine that is also approachable and perfect for any occasion, big or small.
Vineyard: The Shiraz for this Rosé was grown at our Lot 94 BSR vineyard located
in the cooler Blewitt Springs subregion of McLaren Vale.
Soils: This block at Lot 94 BSR is at the bottom of the hill and has alluvial soil rather than the usual deep sand that is throughout most of Blewitt Springs.
Harvest date: 21 February 2024
Winemaking: Cool night harvest of the grapes and immediate crushing and
pressing of fruit at the winery resulted in a pale pink colour. This is followed by
100% stainless steel fermentation at cool temperature to retain aromatics then
clarification, stabilisation and bottling in late May to capture freshness.
Nose: The nose offers lifted aromas of strawberries and cream.
Palate: The palate is a delightful balance of juicy strawberries and cherry fruit with
a zesty acid finish. A dry style that is complimented by juicy red fruit flavours with
great length.
Cellaring: Drink now

"Made from Shiraz harvested from a vineyard located in the sub-region of Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale, this Rosé saw fermentation in stainless steel.
The colour here is delightfully alluring neon pink. The nose fives us spices, herbs and especially strawberries. There really is a delightful strawberries and cream note permeating through the entire wine. Red fruits, with some underlying raspberries. Nicely balance and focused, there is a delicious hint of fruit sweetness with good length."
