WineShedSale.com.au - what are we drinking?
We’re often asked what we’re drinking from the WineShedSale.com.au - so I thought I’d put pen to paper and give you a rundown of a few of our favourites!
The Good Things Come to Those Who Wait Prosecco NV (the first release from our new Idiom Range) is always a great way to get the party started and has been incredibly popular since its launch!
Of the whites, I really enjoy the Bec Hardy Clare Valley Riesling 2021. Riesling is my favourite white wine variety and that's the only reason we really make it – you have to make the wines you want to drink, right? The Bec Hardy Adelaide Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is another crowd-favourite, but get in quick as it's been shortlisted for a major US airline and will disappear if that comes through!
There’s a range of great value award-winning reds too: The Lakeside Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is incredible value, having been named one of the Top 100 wines in the US by the world’s most read wine magazine, Wine Enthusiast. And at just $7.50/bottle - you can't beat that!
Richard is enjoying the new Limestone Coast Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 – a new release for the US market that has just been rated 90 points by Wine Enthusiast. As always, the Shirazes are also drinking well and the Lakeside SA Shiraz 2021 (from McLaren Vale) is particularly great value. The Barbara Hardy McLaren Vale Shiraz 2021 is worth the extra dollars for a more full-bodied Shiraz experience and at $15/bottle it easily drinks like a $25-30 bottle. And with $3 from every bottle going to nature conservation through Nature Foundation, you can enjoy an award-winning wine and feel good about it at the same time!
As always, the wines in the Wine Shed Sale come and go, often quickly. Stocks are running low on Mourvédre 2021 - so get in quick before this is all gone! For those looking for their past favorites, the Lakeside Chardonnay can still be bought here.
The last tasting weekend of the year is coming up on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November - Richard, Matilda and I hope to see you at there!
Cheers,
Bec
