"A fine South Aussie red from a superb vintage, this delivers all you’d hope and represents excellent value while doing so. Quite powerful and with an impression of coiled persuasion, we have notes of mulberries, spices, cassis, plums, dry vegetation (a hint of tree bark) and enough chocolate to make Willy Wonka happy. Slightly broad on the palate, there is a gentle fade with a clean finish and satiny tannins. Will drink well for five to six years, longer if you wish. Great buying."

"A nod to the love of cricket and what could be a finer pursuit? This is dark maroon with plums and chocolate. There are notes of coffee grinds and mocha with cassis and vivid dark fruits. A lovely bright freshness throughout. The wine is well structured with fine, perhaps ever so slightly grainy tannins. Good acidity and length. Six to eight years ahead, though don’t hesitate to enjoy it today if you wish. Love it now, but one can expect it to improve even further."

"Deep purple in colour, yet bright and vivid, there is good concentration here with power and plushness. Plums, florals and chocolate. A fine McLaren Vale Shiraz. Supple on the palate with good length, there are abundant though very fine tannins. Surely has a decade ahead of it. Ridiculously good value."
