Pertaringa Yeoman Shiraz 2018
Story: The Yeoman is a statement of the best wine from an outstanding vintage. We won't make it every year; we'll only make it when it's right to make it.
Vintage: The 2018 growing season started slowly, but warmer weather eventually helped to speed things up. Fruit set throughout the region was good and the low rainfall and warm weather from January to April resulted in great sugar development, while a cooler than average March offered ideal night temperatures for colour and flavour development.
Nose: The nose offers complex and concentrated aromas of plums, red fruits, vanilla and spices.
Palate: The palate is superbly smooth and well-balanced with layers of rich flavours, followed by an elegant, lingering finish.
Food Pairings: Try this wine with venison medallions with a parsnip puree and roasted baby beetroots.
Oak Maturation: 50% new French oak hogsheads for 20 months.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2033. (VF)
