Story: The Yeoman is a statement of the best wine from an outstanding vintage, be it the Shiraz from 2017 or something else in future vintages. We won’t make it every year; we’ll only make it when it’s right to make it.
Vintage: Spring and summer were cooler than normal with above average rainfall and the 2017 vintage happened much later than usual. The combination of those factors and dry weather for most of the harvest resulted in higher yields and excellent quality across regions.
Nose:The nose offers complex and concentrated aromas of plums, red fruits, vanilla and spices.
Palate: The palate is superbly smooth and well-balanced with layers of rich flavours, followed by an elegant, lingering finish.
Food Pairings: Try this wine with venison medallions with a parsnip puree and roasted baby beetroots.
Oak Maturation: 50% new French oak hogsheads for 20 months.
