Sauvignon Blanc 2019

South Australia

Vintage: The 2019 growing season started with mild weather and below average rainfall. Late spring rain provided relief from the dry conditions and contributed to low crops due to the wet weather and windy conditions interfering with fruit set during flowering. The heatwave during January was luckily too early in the ripening cycle to cause any damage to the fruit and after the heat subsided, we experienced a very mild and dry finish to vintage allowing good hang time and flavour development to the smaller than average crop.

Nose: Fresh vibrant passionfruit with notes of tropical lychee and pink grapefruit.

Palate: The palate is crisp and fresh with lime and tropical fruit notes intermingled with cut grass notes.

Pairing: Try this wine with a salt and pepper squid.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2021
