Vintage: The 2019 growing season started with mild weather and below average rainfall. Late spring rain provided relief from the dry conditions and contributed to low crops due to the wet weather and windy conditions interfering with fruit set during flowering. The heatwave during January was luckily too early in the ripening cycle to cause any damage to the fruit and after the heat subsided, we experienced a very mild and dry finish to vintage allowing good hang time and flavour development to the smaller than average crop.
Nose: The nose offers subtle, elegant aromas of freshly picked green apples, as well as citrus notes of oranges and lemons.
Palate: The palate is a well-balanced with tasty flavours of apples and lemons, complemented by crisp acidity on the refreshing palate.
Pairing: Try this wine with a chicken and spring vegetable risotto.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2021.
